STEAM Program

Brains and Brawn gives students an opportunity to explore the world of innovation and creativity be offering STEAM classes for students in grades 1-5. Each of our sessions are set to inspire students as they engage in a variety of hands-on activities. Every week for a total of six weeks, students work on a different strand of STEAM. These programs are meant to encourage and educate the next generation of thinkers.

Move over Miss Frizzle... Here Comes Miss Betty

This program encourages students in Kindergarten to use their critical thinking skills to resolve a science-based problem. Students are read a story which is familiar to them and are asked to resolve the problem by using Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematical skills. The resolution of these problems has young students thinking outside of the box and using deductive reasoning to find a solution to the problem. Students then use collaborative conversations to share their thoughts.
